Pay rate: $25 per hour

 

In this role, you will play an important part in our world-leading ground handling operation at DFW Airport. The Facility Trainer maintains oversight of safety and procedural training processes for stations in a specific region and/or line of business.  The Trainer coordinates with local general managers and station trainers to ensure personnel receive both initial and recurrent training specific to their job functions, while keeping safety the utmost priority.

 

Your main job duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Coordinate with local general managers and station trainers to ensure personnel receive both initial and recurrent training specific to their job functions.
  • Evaluate OSHA compliance in assigned stations to verify all records are complete and current. 
  • Ensure daily operations fully meet government and WFS requirements and identifies performance and training deficiencies.
  • Assist local management personnel, designated station instructors and safety coordinators on new procedures, carrier and government regulatory bulletins.
  • Assist with the development of new procedures and monitor performance.
  • Update personnel on new procedures and government regulatory bulletins and conducts quality assurance and safety audits.
  • Develop and update training materials. Responsibilities may also include computer data entry.
  • Check performance and work progress on key carrier accounts. Complete additional tasks as assigned and participate in group and individual project work.

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to use a computer and applicable office software. Work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to speak/write clearly and be understood by peers, internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Handle multiple projects concurrently and simultaneously.
  • Cognitive skills to use independent judgment.
  • Push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, crawl, or grip as necessary to demonstrate job functions and operate required equipment.
  • Work in restricted spaces as necessary to demonstrate job functions. Work in a high noise level environment.
  • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis

 

Required Experience

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training in airline-related ramp operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. 
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to pass background check, pre-employment drug test.
