Job Summary

Responsible for providing end-to-end business intelligence solutions that democratize data across thebusiness. You will work closely with analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand business questions, write robust pipelines to create analytical data assets, and use visualization to create informative reports and dashboards that allow stakeholders to answer questionsquickly and with confidence. You will become an expert in our data infrastructure and create/maintain pipelines that are critical to conducting robust analyses. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data engineering principles, is comfortable working with large volumes of data, and possesses the technical expertise to solve complex data challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and take ownership of BI data pipelines and centralized data warehouse with trustworthy curated datasets and standardized metrics and business definitions to empower data access and self-service
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, insight requests, and data extractions to resolve critical business reporting issues.
  • Collaborates with business partners and IT in the development of enterprise self-service (business information) metrics and dimensions
  • Collaborates with data governance to ensure metrics and dimensions adhere to enterprise standard definitions
  • Establish architecture patterns, design standards and best practices to accelerate delivery of data solutions
  • Ensure that solutions are scalable, resilient, and perform as per business expectations.
  • Work directly with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to understand goals, gather requirements, and develop new data assets
  • Identify and fill gaps among our data assets and key metrics
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain BI solutions, including data models, data marts, visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
  • Design and build visualization dashboards and reports for projects to accelerate information-to-action at scale using data from disparate data sources and various tools like Power BI, Looker, and SSRS.
  • Lead data-related projects end to end, from requirements gathering to deployment in production with the help of the BI Manager and BI Developer.
  • Be a subject matter expert on our data infrastructure and help us on our path to continuous growth to build a scalable and sustainable infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience with an understanding of database management and cloud
  • computing databases
  • Experience with end to end ETL pipeline development and implementation using SQL and python
  • Experience building reports with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI visualization tools
  • Hands on experience on cloud-based computing services and data warehouses like Snowflake,
  • Redshift, Azure, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills with strong business intuition and ability to understand complex
  • business systems and requirements
  • Fluency in SQL, Python, and ETL using big data tools
  • Bachelors or Masters in engineering, math, physics, computer science, economics or equivalent

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Snowflake, Informatica, Azure.
  • Experience in Power BI.
  • Working in an Agile environment.
  • Git experience.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate and interact effectively at both technical and business level.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
