Job Summary
This role serves as the leader and internal coach to the WFS station managers, working across the ground handling division and partnering with our major airline clients to identify opportunities to drive business, safety, and operational efficiency improvements. The Director ensures all stations properly execute WFS's processes and policies.
Responsibilities
- Will act as Director of our Allegiant Air key account ensuring that WFS enhances operational integrity while excelling in safety, security, and all KPMs
- Responsible for the on-going operation and revenue generating activities of various lines of business.
- Ensure the development and implementation of training programs that support successful operational performance, the security of facilities, equipment, personnel, information, and inventory, as well as operational career development.
- Effectively lead, coach, and mentor multiple account/station/general managers and regional managers to success via development and monitoring of KPMs, safety, and security standards.
- Identify stations that are deviating from plan and assist GMs and regional managers in developing and executing action plans. Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to keep leadership informed of financial and operational performance.
- Enforce all WFS protocols and procedures to ensure that WFS continuously provides the highest level of safety, service, and operational abilities.
- Work with all other HDQ organizations to ensure the operations point of view is represented.
- Must be SME on our customer's above-wing and below-wing operations, including specialty positions and Ground Security Coordinator.
- Travel required as needed (approximately 60%).
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed. Support budgeting and reforecasting activities.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years' experience as a senior operations leader with responsibility for more than 50 employees, including supervising administrative staff and frontline leadership within an airport, logistics supply chain, or related field.
- Large ramp and customer service operations experience, including wide-body and narrow-body aircraft experience, strongly desired.
- 5 years' senior management experience with regulatory procedures and responses, overseeing training and quality initiatives as well as compliance reporting.
- Strong budget and P&L experience.
- Knowledge of change management and influential factors.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or similar process improvement fundamentals.
- Strong MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, and web-based application skills.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree (M.A.) preferred, not required.
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Firm understanding and usage of Anaplan or equivalent software, ability to read and understand P&Ls, create or edit station budgets.
- Allegiant experience and understanding Tableau, AIS, and Coruson SMS
- Must have a strong use of computer-based applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as ability to learn and use web-based programs for day to day management functions.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Walk short distances.
- Reach above and/or below shoulder.
- Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
- Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
- Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
- Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
- Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
