Job Summary

The IT Project Management is directly responsible for providing project planning and management for established IT programs and initiatives within the organization. They will need to handle multiple projects and have superb organization skill. The projects will range from enterprise software implementations, infrastructure enhancements, to third party integrations with the WFS Cargo Management System. The IT Project Manager will use their industry expertise to improve on the IT PMO governance and work closely with the IT Program Management Director to deliver the organizations strategic IT roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate actions to ensure delivery of complex projects and initiatives both in the business applications and IT Infrastructure.
  • Ensure alignment on scope, key value drivers, and critical outcomes for assigned IT projects.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans.
  • Manage project scope and change control.
  • Communicate deliverables, roles and responsibilities for project team members required to support projects.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, leadership, overall performance, schedule, and cost for assigned IT Projects.
  • Identify project issues, risks and mitigation plans.
  • Follow communications plans and maintain excellent overall communications to project team and across the organization for enterprise projects.
  • Manage third party vendors including deliverable signoff and invoice review for payment.
  • Monitor project progress and report project status to Stakeholders and senior IT leadership.
  • Build a strong network and collaborate across the organization.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-10 years IT Project Management experience.
  • PMP certification a plus.
  • Jira task and sprint planning experience highly desirable.
  • Certification and/or knowledge in Lean, Program and/or Project Management, and Agile methods highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Significant knowledge and experience with project management methodologies, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with IT Infrastructure & Enterprise Application Implementations.
  • Ability to effectivity present project updates with a firm understanding of dependencies, scope, risks, cost, and milestones.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and leading teams.
  • Leads and directs work of others who may or may not directly report to the position but whose input and cooperation are critical to the success of assigned projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile and waterfall project execution methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira for project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to influence customer's expectations and develop win-win outcomes.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
