Job Summary
The Manager, Procurement Technology will lead the development, implementation, and governance of AI/technology-enabled procurement, contracting, and compliance tools for the WFS Americas region. This position will own the design and administration of AI-supported workflows used for multi-lingual procurement acquisition, supplier risk analysis, audit readiness, policy compliance, reporting, and procurement process controls. The position requires strong procurement, legal, technology, and AI literacy. The role will work closely with Procurement, Legal, IT, Finance, Operations, Internal Audit, and global leadership to identify automation opportunities, validate AI outputs, manage risk controls, and improve the quality, speed, and consistency of procurement activities within the multi-lingual Americas region.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, documentation, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of AI-enabled procurement systems supporting sourcing, contracting, supplier onboarding, compliance monitoring, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Translate business requirements into system workflows, prompts, data inputs, validation rules, dashboards, and user procedures.
- Partner with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate, configure, test, and deploy procurement technology solutions.
- Implement and manage AI-supported contract review processes for supplier agreements, NDAs, amendments, and statements of work.
- Leverage AI and analytics tools to identify risk patterns, benchmark commercial terms, flag deviations, and escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks for responsible AI use within procurement processes.
- Establish controls covering approved use cases, data handling, access permissions, human oversight, validation, audit trails, and escalation protocols.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools covering procurement cycle time, supplier performance, contract lifecycle, risk metrics, compliance exceptions, and AI tool performance.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead and develop procurement administration and compliance teams, manage priorities, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Perform other procurement, contracting, compliance, reporting, or administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6-8 years relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, compliance, legal operations, procurement technology, data analytics, AI-enabled business tools, or a related function.
- 3 years of experience leading projects, systems implementations, process improvement initiatives, compliance programs, or cross-functional business transformation work.
- In-depth knowledge of airline, warehousing or other transportation industry-specific regulations and risk management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AI-enabled tools, contract lifecycle management systems, procurement platforms, data analytics tools, workflow automation tools, or dashboard/reporting solutions.
- Excellent computer skills including demonstrated knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CoPilot (or alternate AI engine).
- Exceptional communication, analytical, technological, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and respond to variability based on organizational needs. Comfortable communicating to all levels of management.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment.
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer, including use of keyboard and screen.
- Frequent standing and walking may be required throughout the workday.
- Ability to communicate effectively and participate in meetings (in-person and virtual).
- May occasionally require lifting or moving light office materials (up to 10 pounds).
