Job Summary
The Talend Acquisition Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Ground Operations team, driving high-volume hiring initiatives and improving recruitment practices across the country. This role leads a team of recruiters, enhances candidate action strategies, and collaborates with operational leaders to ensure efficient, data driven, and adaptable hiring practices.
Compensation: Starting at $90,000, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition North America, you will:
- Serve as a consultative partner to business leaders, aligning recruiting strategies with operational needs
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of recruiters focused on high-volume hiring for front line roles as well as strategic leadership roles within operations
- Drive candidate sourcing, engagement, and attraction strategies with a sense of urgency
- Collaborate with operation on interviews, hiring decisions, and onboarding processes
- Analyze and improve recruitment workflows from outreach through onboarding
- Set and monitor KPIs for the recruiting team to ensure consistent performance
- Provide regular hiring data and insights to leadership to support continuous improvement
- Monitor labor market trends and implement creating sourcing tactics
- Adapt recruiting efforts in response to evolving business needs and priorities
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or related experience
- 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, including managing full-cycle recruiting
- Proven success in high-volume recruiting for hourly/front line roles
- Experience supporting recruitment for leadership and management level positions
- Strong understanding of sourcing strategies and candidate engagement best practices
- Ability to analyze recruitment metrics and translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools
- Travel domestically up to 50% of the time
Preferred Skills
- Experience recruiting in aviation, logistics, or transportation industry
- 2+ years of experience leading and developing a team of recruiters
- Familiarity with unionized environments and collective bargaining agreements
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements across multiple states
- Experience implementing or optimizing applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Background in process improvement or change management related to recruitment
- Ability to lead recruiting efforts across multiple locations or regions
- Demonstrated success in building and executing talent attraction campaigns
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, especially Spanish, a plus
- Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time (approximately 50% of the time)
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access files, equipment, and other work areas
- Frequently operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, calculators, and smartphone

- Handle and grasp documents or office supplies
- Sit or stand for both short and extended periods

- Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time, which may include air and ground transportation, and working in varied on-site environments
