Job Summary
The Instructor Passenger Services provides safety, security, and procedural training for airport customer service agents regarding passenger ground handling and customer service. This would include both initial and recurrent training requirements.
Compensation: $ 25.00
Responsibilities
- Monitors training and training records
- Instructs personnel on new procedures, WFS, and government safety and security policies, regulations, and directives
- Conducts audits
- Update local training manuals and SOPs as required
- Computer data entry
- Preparation or oversight of flight documents;
- Interfaces with the Transportation Safety Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, local airport authority, and U.S. Customs & Border Patrol
- Monitoring of flight and passenger documentation, as well as compliance with passenger processing procedures and applicable air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations.
The successful candidate will be based at their station; however, the primary job function will be to support training efforts.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to speak clearly and be understood.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Customer Service role, preferred Airline/Aviation experience
- 1-2 years of training experience is a plus.
- Work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work with all levels of management in communicating issues and making presentations.
- Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
- Must be able to perform the following functions in variable weather and environmental conditions:
- Computer literacy
- Must be knowledgeable in all Federal Air Regulations pertaining to passenger ground handling operations and all Worldwide Flight Services procedures
- Comply with the WFS site security plan.
- Remain aware of the activities of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors, and report any security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or through the WFS reporting program.
Preferred Skills
- Must possess leadership qualities.
- Requires strong oral and written communications skills, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
- Current working knowledge of computer systems.
- Current office/ warehouse operational working experience preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, crawl, or grip as necessary to demonstrate job functions and operate required equipment.
- Work in restricted spaces as necessary to demonstrate job functions.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Work in a high noise level environment.
