Must be customer services oriented. Coordinates contractual needs of customer required baggage handling in the bag room; third party baggage handling, including the off-load and on-load of aircraft. Assigned duties include; monitoring the bag room functions in accordance with customer requirement, ensuring that baggage and/or containers are loaded in the proper aircraft positions/bins, Load Control Agents are provided applicable information, and Weight and Balance agents and offices are provided applicable information. Ensures that flight arrival/departure times, on-line baggage transfer information, and passenger stand-by information is communicated to applicable departments or ground handler. Reports abnormalities to customer. May also be required to conduct training, including the use of bag tag scanners, interpretation of load sheets, and 3-letter city codes.
JOB REQUIREMENT High school diploma or GED preferred. At least one year of related experience and/or training. Valid driver’s license required if operating equipment. Customer service experience. Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Holidays, and days off. Must have basic personal computer knowledge.
