Job Summary
The AMPW Office Lead is responsible for aspects of the Office Agent position (described in Responsibilities below) as well as the following: The maintenance of a satisfactory quantity and quality of work by assigned personnel, explaining and demonstrating work procedures and methods including safety, apportioning and scheduling assigned work, observing and analyzing the methods used and the results achieved, bring problems to the attention of management and assist management in the utilization of tools, equipment, and materials. Remains cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program. Complies with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations.
Responsibilities
- Computer data entry; prepares all flight documents; interfaces with U.S. Customs; prepares all import and export documentation and accepts/distributes cargo in accordance with applicable air carrier and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Compiles lists of customers for use as sales leads.
- Solicits orders or talks with customers to complete sales.
- Quotes prices and terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained. Estimates date of delivery to customers based on knowledge of company's delivery schedules.
- Solves practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Reads and interprets printed instructions; write legibly to complete forms/paperwork as required.
- Communicates with different levels of management to communicate issues.
- Retrieves, imports, and delivers export documents to and from aircraft.
- Exhibits reliable and consistent attendance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
- Ability to learn PC skills and apply learning. Type 30 words per minute (wpm).
- Detail oriented.
- 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment.
- Valid driver's license for applicable state.
- Port Authority or Airport Authority (if applicable) permit to use ramp side service roads.
- Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment.
- Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Position will be in an office environment with considerable noise. Standing, sitting, walking, writing, and using computer keyboard.
- Some exposure to outside elements.
- Able to step up to and above ground level.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, with assistance.
