Job Summary
Join our team as a Regional Operational Support Manager, where you’ll lead day-to-day operations to ensure safety, security, quality, and outstanding customer service. In this role, you’ll manage staffing, performance, and corrective actions, oversee compliance with TSA regulations and company policies, and drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring and audits. We’re looking for a strong leader who can foster a respectful, team-focused workplace while keeping operations running smoothly across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct daily operations within assigned regions or functional areas
- Ensure staffing levels and personnel performance align with operational goals
- Oversee employee relations, including monitoring discipline and corrective actions
- Drive customer satisfaction through regular feedback and proactive issue resolution
- Maintain compliance with TSA regulations, corporate security programs, and site-specific security plans
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to operational and safety standards
- Train, mentor, and develop support staff to perform effectively across assignments
- Coordinate project support and delegate responsibilities to operational support team
- Collaborate with terminal/building managers to address and resolve support needs
- Enforce company Standard Operating Procedures and promote equitable practices
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and international laws and regulations
- Operate and train staff on necessary equipment and ensure all required certifications are current
- Represent the company to senior leadership and external stakeholders as needed
- Respond to inquiries and complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in aviation or a similarly regulated industry.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage staffing, and administer corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of safety, security, and compliance requirements, including TSA regulations.
- Experience monitoring operational performance and conducting audits.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies, procedures, and site-specific security plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other operational management tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to fluently read, write, and speak the english language.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift coverage or facility inspections.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access files, equipment, or work areas.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 30 pounds.
- Capability to work in both indoor office settings and outdoor/airport ramp environments, including exposure to weather conditions and varying noise levels.
- Sufficient vision and hearing to safely observe operations and communicate effectively in a busy environment.
- Ability to climb stairs or access elevated areas as needed for inspections or operational oversight.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer, phone, and other standard office or operational equipment.
