Agent Weight & Balance

The agent weight & balance prepares applicable balance sheets for aircraft, prepares applicable weight & balance data, checks ULD allocation telex and payload telex from flight dispatch, secure copy of LDM and CPM and check accuracy of inputs, i.e. transit passenger count and pit/compartment weights, obtain transit zone data, accomplish initial parts of load sheet and determine allowable traffic load, secure data on estimated passenger and cargo loads and compute for estimated baggage; pre trim loading to ensure allowable safety requirements are met and fuel efficient balance conditions are maintained as much as possible, tally baggage sheets or ULD's as provided by baggage master and coordinate same regarding the actual loading, obtain close out figures from scribe, accomplish load sheet and ensure weight and balance conditions are within safety limits, accomplish weight and balance estimated payload versus actual payload check sheet and submit to PR flight control and perform LMC's if necessary, provide copy of load sheet to flight engineer and purser, transmit LDM after checking with scribe for LMC's and transmit CPM after finalizing loading with ramp supervisor and transmit correction messages if necessary and compile load sheet, LIRF, LDM's CPM's and relevant messages and reports for flight file.  Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations.  Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program. 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.  Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand FAA regulations, and company policies, and procedures.  Ability to read, write, and fluently speak, and understand the English language. Ability to work rotating shift including weekends (ie. Friday, Saturday & Sunday), holidays and days off.

 

Essential Job Functions

Ability to lift 35 lbs.

 

Reports for work on a regular and timely basis.

Ability to work with minimum supervision, and under pressure to meet deadlines.
