Passenger Boarding Bridge Supervisor (EWR AIRPORT) Overview:

A shift-based duty supervisor that ensures continued preventive maintenance, swift response maintenance and coordinates the technical duty staff of the PBB maintenance section. Ensures all staff are in position and all processes are adhered to. Ensures continued operation during all kind of scenarios by coordinating technical response to problems or faults occurred. PBB maintenance representative and liaison to all technical contractors and sub-contractors. Coordinates with PBB Manager and/or Operations Manager. When on duty the PBB Duty Supervisor Maintenance may report to Terminal Operator Personnel, such as an Airport Duty Manager, Airport Duty Officer or similar. Responsibilities: • Management and running of day-to-day operation of the PBB Maintenance team. • Monitors PBB maintenance staff attendance • Adjusts shift roster to cover for ad hoc changes always ensuring adequate staff coverage • Complete shift reports at the end of each shift • Enter work orders, corrective work orders and recall work orders into Maximo. • Communicate with PBB Manager to ensure operations and maintenance are coordinated. • Ensures there is no down time or delays in Passenger Boarding Bridge Operations. • Monitors and ensures compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) • Provides technical solutions to resolve issues with the PBBs. • Executes pre-determined procedures to be executed when necessary (Contingency SOPs) • Leads the passenger boarding bridge maintenance team in a safe manner. • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and policies. • Monitors that all maintenance works are being carried out in safe and efficient manner with no disruption to terminal operation. • Ensure the effective (swift and correct) implementation of procedures for fault diagnosis. • Administer work permits. • Responsible for the maintenance team’s proper and complete usage of the Maximo Enterprise Asset Management System for the maintenance of the Passenger Boarding Bridge Team. • Ensures tools and equipment are available, safe, and ready to use. • Oversees the implementation of smaller PBB technical projects and system amendments. • Monitor performance and reporting of technical contractors • Ensure adherence to pre-agreed maintenance works and that schedule works start and finish on time and have the complete scope covered. • Compliance with all service levels and KPIs • Ensures all work orders are properly executed and documented within Maximo. Required Education and Experience: • High School Diploma • Electrical training and experience in an industrial environment or minimum 1 year experience as maintenance mechanic • Flexible work schedule for 24/7 operations • Valid Driver’s License NY and NJ require employees to have valid DL in the state they work in. (All other states do not require a state DL in that state, just a valid DL from any state) Other Requirements: Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time position-40 hours per week; night, weekend, overtime, and holiday work are common. Travel: This position requires local travel only. Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work environment/physical requirements described here are representative of those an employee mayencounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Technicians work in the secured baggage handling areas, in repair stations, or on airfields. They often must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules. Workers frequently bend, stoop, and reach from ladders and scaffolds. While performing the duties of this job,the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands andarms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee frequently lifts and/or move items over 50 pounds with the help of teammates. They will be lifting parts and tolls for extended periods of time and handling equipment such asconveyor systems. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working with and exposed to the baggage handlingsystem, mechanical parts, and vibration. The environment can also be loud because of aircraft engines and equipment. Must be able to operate a vehicle up to 5000 lbs., operate and use a motorized scissor lift and boom lift.
