Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager of Ground Systems Technology to join our dynamic product team within a prestigious global air cargo company. This is a remote position catering to the Americas, with some travel required. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the technological aspects of our ground operations, ensuring efficiency, innovation, and superior service delivery in our passenger service division. Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead a team of professionals in managing and optimizing our ground systems technology. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Technology Management: Oversee the administration, integration, and optimization of specific ground systems technologies, including Zafire, Inform GroundStar Planning, Realtime, and Workforce Plus. Ensure these systems are leveraged to their full potential to meet our business needs.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting: Utilize BI tools to analyze data, generate insights, and produce actionable reports to support decision-making. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Integration and Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to integrate ground systems technology with other corporate systems and processes. Identify and implement process improvements and technological solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Customer Engagement: Exhibit outstanding customer engagement skills, working closely with the business on both regional and global levels. Act as a key liaison between the technology team and business units, ensuring alignment of technological solutions with business objectives.
  • Project Management: Manage and deliver technology projects on time and within budget. Apply best practices in project management to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Stay abreast of technological advancements and best practices in the aviation cargo industry to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the passenger service industry, with a strong understanding of ground operations and logistics.
  • Proven experience with Zafire, Inform GroundStar Planning, Realtime, and Workforce Plus systems.
  • Strong background in Business Intelligence, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and integrate complex systems and processes.
  • Exceptional customer engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with regional and global business units.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Fluent in English, with superior written and verbal communication skills. Additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with Airlines/Airport Ground Transportation provider.
  • Strong background in Business Intelligence, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and integrate complex systems and processes.
  • Exceptional customer engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with regional and global business units.

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Travel required.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
