A Special Services Representative performs the following tasks: pushes passengers in wheelchairs, with assistance, lifts passengers onto or off of aisle chairs, escorts disabled passengers, carries, pushes, lifts, or pulls luggage for any passenger requesting assistance, reads and understands flight coupons, boarding passes and bag tags.  Controls US Customs immigration forms.  Pulls flight complexes from the airline's

system, meets inbound and outbound flights .  Escorts unaccompanied minors.  Delivers films assigned to flights.  Delivers surveys to flights.  Delivers in-flight oxygen.  Pushes, pulls, loads/unloads luggage from carts.  Transports luggage to the piers at the ramp.

Provides flight information to passengers.  Uses only assigned equipment, returning it

to the proper area after use.  Works in different locations while on duty.  Provides other services as necessary to assist customers and passengers.  Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.



JOB     REQUIREMENTS                                                                          II


High school education or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of all disability related training, including, but not limited to American's with Disability Act training. Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off. Must have the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Bilingualism may be required in certain assignments.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS                                                          II


Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.


Ability to print and speak simple sentences.


Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 1O's and 100's.


Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.



Ability to deal with problems involving occasional variables in routine situations.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  .


The employee must regularly lift and/or move 70 pounds and with assistance using proper technique, have the ability to assist moving a disabled passenger from a wheelchair to an aisle seat and back safely.


The employee must have the judgment to request proper assistance and use their knowledge and ability to safely assist a disabled passenger with their basic needs, if requested (brief stop to rest room or for food.)


Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


The employee is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.


If operating motorized vehicles, a valid driver's license is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
