Job Summary
Recruit for hourly positions and Management jobs in Aviation and Ground and Cargo Handling.
Source candidates from various career websites including SAP our internal applicant tracking system. Support recruiting team by building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates.
Actively source passive candidates by conducting market research, developing professional relationships and referral networks. Partner with hiring managers to understand qualification requirements of positions and develop appropriate recruitment strategies. Manage the candidate search process by implementing external sourcing strategies and assessing candidates.
Apply leading-edge recruitment principles to develop strong candidate relationships and deliver high-quality talent to the facilities. Utilize full range of recruiting methods including Internet and online database searches and attending job fairs and conferences. Develop interview protocol; interviewing and evaluating applicants; and extending and employment offers. Perform pre-employment verification and facilitate on-boarding of new hires. Execute new badge application to Customs and Port Authority and renew expired badge for current employees. Effective onboarding new hires into station operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive high-volume recruiting for hourly and management positions in Aviation, Ground, and Cargo Handling.
- Plan, support, and execute hiring events — from community outreach and scheduling to day-of coordination and candidate follow-up.
- Source and attract top talent through multiple channels including job boards, social media, referrals, and our internal ATS (SAP).
- Proactively build and maintain a candidate pipeline to meet peak hiring demands and future workforce needs.
- Engage passive candidates through research, relationship building, and creative outreach strategies.
- Partner closely with station leaders to understand workforce needs, develop recruiting strategies, and deliver timely hiring results.
- Manage the end-to-end recruiting process: screening, interviewing, recommending candidates, extending offers, and coordinating onboarding.
- Ensure compliance and onboarding readiness by facilitating pre-employment checks, badge applications, and system setup for new hires.
- Continuously improve the recruiting experience by providing responsive communication, clear expectations, and professional representation of our brand.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in high-volume recruiting, preferably in logistics, aviation, or operations-focused industries.
- Proven success managing multiple openings and hiring events in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable with ATS systems (SAP experience a plus) and sourcing platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and service-oriented — able to adapt quickly and prioritize competing needs.
Preferred Skills
- College degree preferred.
- Familiarity with personal computer software helpful.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Walk short distances.
- Reach above and/or below shoulder.
- Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
- Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
- Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
- Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
- Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
