Job Summary

The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for executing high-volume, frontline recruitment strategies to support the operational staffing needs of an assigned airport station. This role partners closely with local station leadership and HR teams to attract, screen, and onboard qualified candidates for key positions, including ramp agents, customer service agents, and cabin service roles. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and takes ownership of the full-cycle recruiting process—from sourcing to Day One readiness. This position is on-site and requires the flexibility to support hiring events, onboarding activities, and urgent staffing needs, often during non-standard hours. 

Responsibilities

  • Recruit hourly and management roles in Aviation, Ground, and Cargo Handling to meet station staffing needs.
  • Source candidates using external job boards, SAP ATS, and proactive market research.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to support both current and future hiring needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Manage candidate screening, interviewing, and selection processes.
  • Apply best recruiting practices to deliver quality talent and maintain strong candidate relationships.
  • Attend job fairs and industry events to attract diverse candidates.
  • Conduct pre-employment verifications and support new hires' onboarding through automated systems.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and data within ATS.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in aviation or a high-volume environment.
  • Knowledge of ADA accommodations and compliance in recruiting.
  • Experience recruiting hourly and management roles, with a focus on frontline or operational positions.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably SAP, Workday, or similar).
  • Strong sourcing skills, including passive candidate outreach and market research.
  • Ability to work onsite at the station, including flexible hours for hiring events or operational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to partner effectively with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Knowledge of airport security requirements, including badge application processes, is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience recruiting in aviation, ground operations, or cargo handling.
  • Familiarity with FAA/DOT hiring regulations and compliance.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities across various recruiting markets, including social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) and online job boards.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with onboarding and new hire processing systems.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Bilingual skills or multilingual abilities a plus.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
