A MOD's role is responsible for maximizing the operational performance and ensuring safety and security regulations are followed. Ensures performance and service delivery to our customers is of the highest standard in the industry. The MOD is responsible for keeping the promises Express Services makes to its customers. Ensures we are operating efficiently and safely by directing and supervising personnel within assigned functional areas.


  • Operations - responsible for the overall operational performance of WFS to maximize synergies, deliver the WFS promise and fulfill the Vision, Culture, and Mission.
  • Involved in all major operational decisions impacting performance delivery with a priority on safety.
  • The core focus on costs, including labor, GSE, and MHE utilization. Helps to meet bottom-line targets safely and by our service standards.
  • KPI's - Maximize and communicate business performance with daily, and weekly reviews with the General Manager against customers agreed SLA's. Ensure quality scanning performance reports are consistently measured. Implement plans to correct identified shortfalls in performance.
  • Training – Support the operation with learning and development while cross utilizing best practices making sure the customer's objectives are met.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
  • Internal relations –Ensure all statutory and company policies are complied with, conduct, and assist with any investigation or claims brought to the business's attention.
  • Health, Safety & Security – ensure compliance with occupational health & safety, TSA legislation, and company policy. Develop and maintain positive health and safety; a culture focused on awareness and vigilance.
  • Ability to formulate reports on time. Draft business correspondence and procedure manuals.


  • Prepared to undertake any additional training to complement the operation
  • 24hr contact for security and emergency purposes.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing and able to push frequently, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
