Job Summary

The Sustainability Business Partner, a member of the Americas team, has the overall responsibility to serve as a trusted partner to Americas for the purpose of improving the business’s performance in key Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) areas. The role reports to America’s Sr. Vice President of HSSE with a dotted line to SATS’ Chief Sustainability Officer. The Sustainability Business Partner for the Americas, based in Dallas, will be required to collaborate and engage frequently with various stakeholders ranging from business units, cross-functional departments, including corporate teams at the Singapore headquarters, to external service providers for the analysis, planning, tracking, and reporting of ESG initiatives and their outcomes. The Sustainability Business Partner acts as the secretary of the ESG Council for the Americas, which is chaired by a Sustainability Champion from the business.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Americas’ ESG Scorecard at least quarterly to drive the discussions and ESG action plans at the Management team level and in preparation for Group Management Board and Board meetings.
  • Prepare monthly reporting of sustainability KPIs for Americas to WFS Americas Management and SATS Group management.
  • Act as a focal point and work with finance, procurement, HSSE, HC, and other functions to collect, verify, report, and analyze Americas’ ESG data on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on carbon intensity and net decarbonization progress for the Americas, including scope 1, 2, and 3, low-emission vehicle adoption rate, and renewable energy usage for all WFS operations in the Americas (USA, Canada, and Brazil).
  • Provide perspective on and content for the assigned region for annual Sustainability Reports.
  • Advise America’s business units on key gaps and opportunities for improving ESG performance, including not only environmental impact, such as greenhouse gas emissions, but also social and governance impact, such as diversity & inclusion, supply chain due diligence, etc.
  • Support America’s business units with the prioritization of these gaps and opportunities based on impact and feasibility, including business case development considering P&L impact and other financial and operational implications.
  • Support Sales & Operations teams in complying with sustainability-related requirements in the RFP/RFQ processes with customers and in applying for Government grants.
  • Support legal & compliance teams to monitor ESG-related regulations applicable to the USA, Canada, and Brazil.
  • Act as champion and advocate for sustainability within Americas, e.g., taking part in employee engagement programs, speaking on internal or external panels, being a trainer, etc.
  • Take the lead and/or provide support on any ad-hoc assignments and projects related to sustainability, e.g., participation in internal and external audits, due diligence exercises for M&A, support for other regions, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in relevant area such as Environmental Studies, Business, Accounting, Engineering, etc.; certification in Sustainability/ESG a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, corporate transformation, change management, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years in an ESG-related role.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office environment and a warehouse/ airport ground operation. It requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, as well as occasionally lift up to 25lbs.
  • Willingness to travel for ESG projects or as required by the Corporate Sustainability leadership team.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region, and as necessary, to other regions.
